Lots has happened--- lots to say!

So much has happened since I last posted--- the Harvey's have been busy, busy, busy! With me working four ten hour days, matt coaching volleyball, and a desire to make our house a home---- weekends have been crammed full! A friend of mine makes “word blocks”--- when I saw them, I had to have them. They fit perfectly with the “vision” I had for our living room walls. Matt and I picked out a verse we would like to live by as a family--- Romans 12:9-13. “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor serving the Lord. Be joyful in home, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” We also chose other words, that we hope our home will constantly display. We gave all this information to Kristi and she blessed us so much! I am soo grateful to Kristi, they turned out better than I could have ever expected! Our living room is warm, inviting, and tells our story--- I love our home. Here are some pictures of our living room.

A day with our nephews--- so fun!

We were blessed to be able to spend lots of time with our nephews this weekend. We picked them up from church on Sunday afternoon, played, played, and played some more until their mom and dad came home on monday afternoon. Due to how hot it was, the majority of our time was spent outside with some form of water or another. David also helped (a little) bake cupcakes with Matt, which he later enjoyed (a lot) eating. Monday was full of park time, train playing time, yummy snacks and more time spent playing in the water. It was a great weekend, Matt and I feel super, super blessed to have nephews and family as great as them! God is good.

International Dinner: Dominican Style

I LOVE these nights. There is this song on the radio called “Beautiful Things” by Gungor. It is one of my new favorites--- talks about the reality of life, faith and growing. It is no secret to anyone that this world is a mess. From tornados, earthquakes, hunger, abuse, diseases, cruelty, doubt, fear, insecurity--- we are in a very broken and painful place. However, He can make all things beautiful. Out of these circumstances comes people who reach out, who care, who challenge, who convict. Over the past few years there has been lots of change, unknown circumstances, mountains and valleys, and our friends have been there supporting us the whole time. Now, we are married, in our first home, blessed with job and the ability to give to others.

Meeting with two other couples who inspire, encourage, convict and challenge me. They remind me of the beautiful things God created in life. That every challenge is an opportunity to grow, to become someone more beautiful. Thank you Story’s and Blofsky’s for being a blessing to our lives. Our time with you is always refreshing, fulfilling and something we look forward to.

Here are the lyrics to the song---

“All this pain
I wonder if I'll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all
All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all

(Chorus)
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found in You

Chorus X2
You make me new, You are making me new”

We have a HOME!

Finally--- pictures of our home! Many, many, many of you have been asking for me to post pictures of our home. These past weeks have been amazing, full of blessings, but very, very busy. We have moved into our home, had visitors two weekends in a row, three photography sessions in the past two weeks, work and a fun weekend spending time with some family friends of ours. All that said, I have finally had time to take some pictures, sit down and post them. As time moves on and projects get accomplished we will have more post up here, to update you on our progress. So far we are loving being home owners, feeling so blessed with our beautiful dwelling place and so excited to be planning a house warming party… more of that to come in the future as well. Well, without further ado, welcome to our home--- virtually! Glad you could stop by!!!

Family Vacation

So it has been a while since I posted on here.. and I am so sorry. Life has been crazy, giving us lots of turns, loops and flips. We have been so blessed over the past few months, God is good. Slowly I will update you with all that is going on in life. Lets start here, our trip to Almanor. Do to both Matt and I working, we made it up on either side of the family trip. Our two weekends in Almanor were amazing! I am so grateful for time away, time with family and a needed vacation. While we were there we spent time by the lake, in the house hanging out, going for walks, just enjoying each others company. We were very blessed by this time away.
